Solving Traffic Problems
I support reducing traffic congestion by street widening, enhanced traffic light equipment and better implementation of technology. I don’t believe in sweetheart deals with developers. I am an advocate of strict code enforcement.  I am not in favor of over development or inadequate parking. Developers must pay for traffic problems caused by their projects as well as pay the increased costs of police and fire protection those projects create.

Invest in Youth
I believe in working with our schools, library, museum and the community to improve efforts on behalf of our youth. At the present a joint city and school district gymnasium is being built at Dana Middle School.

Monster Homes & Overdevelopment
I am concerned about some of the changes in our community. Homeowners Associations do a wonderful job in maintaining the quality of life in their neighborhoods. I would like to see volunteer neighborhood councils formed in areas of Arcadia currently without Homeowners Associations to participate in the design review process when older homes are torn down and new ones are built.

Tough Development Standards
I judge every development by a consistent set of standards. Does it pay for the demands it makes on our roads, schools, and public safety? Does it actually make Arcadia a better place to live?

Illegal Immigration
While this is surely a state and federal issue, it is also a public safety issue, and there are steps that cities can take. Non-Arcadia residents commit most of the crime in our city. Arcadia police should be trained in the use of immigration laws in dealing with criminals. Arcadia should promote using companies that only employ citizens and those in the U.S. legally.

Citizens are Job One
The City Council and City staff exist to serve the needs of Arcadia’s citizens and not vice versa.
