Public Safety
Public safety is the number one responsibility of any city council. According to the Arcadia police chief, our city is short 15 officers. Creating, funding and keeping a fully staffed Police Department is one of my top priorities.

Traffic
Traffic is a growing problem. Arcadia needs to find the resources to address it. We have put up with obsolete systems for too long. Arcadia has started the process, but progress is still too little and too slow. We cannot depend on someone other than ourselves to address the problems.

Fiscal Responsibility/Taxes/Budget
I am concerned about Arcadia’s fiscal well being, but I was not elected to chase revenues. We have to be prudent with our resources. I review every expenditure and position in city hall and ask the tough questions: Is Arcadia using the most efficient means of delivering services? And are there ways to improve these services without raising taxes? Can we afford it?

Developers Must Pay
Developers must mitigate traffic problems caused by their projects and pay the increased costs of police and fire protection those projects create.
